Temple of Leah

If you believe in love, Love can move mountains. If we got love that is strong enough, we can do anything, make it through anything ‘Coz through it all love will always find a way.

I constructed this temple in the year 2012 A.D. as a symbol of my undying love for and ceaseless devotion to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna, my wife of 53 years. I adopted and architectural and structural design that can withstand time and still be appreciated for a millennium so this Temple will become a landmark of Cebu where future generations of the Adarna clan coming from her can come and trace the roots and heritage. All her lifetime collections are showcased in the 24 chambers of this Temple principally for the members of our family who cherish her memory.

This is to acknowledge the help given to me to finish this massive temple:

• Alan Modesto Adarna and Teodorico “Rico” G. adarna who share their expertise in the construction and the generosity of Alan Modesto Adarna for loaning his heavy equipments to help carve this Temple from mountain side
• The Substanstial help from my only daughter Arlene Mae Adarna (May 22, 1962) – married to Arne Crodua Mangubat (October 6, 1961), Children: Mary Adelle Hlynn “Madel” Dejon (June 7, 1984), Arne Angelo “Badodong” Mangubat (Novermber 11, 1991), Arianne Ysabel “Yssa” mangubat (August 6, 1997)
• To Rey “Epoy” N. Adarna and Teodorico “Jumboy” N. Adarna who contributed income of their hotels to help the expenses in the early days of the construction
• To Teodorico “Jumboy” N. Adarna who helped me care for her last days and her two (2) granddaughters Dr. Leigh angeli Adarna and Nurse Adelle Hlynn “Madel” Dejon who cared for her in her most critical days until she breath her last

May this Temple serve as a symbol of a great love of a husband to his very loving wife.
